Terms of Service

1. Purpose
These Terms of Service (ToS) govern access to and use of the Bookotels platform, available at bookotels.com (the publishing legal entity is set out in our Legal Notice). By accessing the platform, you unconditionally accept these ToS.
2. Registration and account
Access to the platform's features requires creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Any activity carried out from your account is deemed to have been done by you.
3. Nature of the service
Bookotels is a SaaS technology platform (software as a service). Bookotels provides travel agents with technical tools to search, compare, quote and book tourism services (hotels, activities, transfers). Bookotels does not sell any travel service: the agent is the seller and contracts in their own name with their client.
4. Liability
Bookotels is a pure technical tool: each agent sells under their own responsibility and alone carries the guarantee and legal obligations towards their client. Bookotels provides only the technology and cannot be held liable for the commercial relationship between the agent and their client, nor for the delivery of travel services. It is the agent's responsibility to hold the authorisations and insurance required by their local regulations.
5. Payments
Payments and financial transactions are processed securely by our payment provider Stripe, in accordance with the applicable security standards (PCI-DSS). Bookotels provides only the technical online-payment infrastructure: the agent is the seller, sets their price freely and receives their client's payment. The agent accesses services at the net rate and resells them at a price they determine; the financial terms for using the platform depend on their loyalty level and are settled by bank transfer.
6. Cancellation and refund
Cancellation and refund conditions depend on each provider and are indicated at the time of booking. The agent is required to inform their client of the applicable conditions.
7. Data protection
Personal data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy (UK GDPR / GDPR). By using the platform, you acknowledge that you have read it.
8. Intellectual property
All platform content (texts, logos, software, databases) is the property of Bookotels or its partners. Any unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.
9. Amendments
Bookotels reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. Users will be informed by email or via the platform. Continued use of the platform after modification constitutes acceptance of the new ToS.
10. Applicable law
These ToS are governed by the laws of Scotland (United Kingdom). In the event of a dispute, the courts of Scotland shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence within the EU.
